Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Father and Child
The mature male and female have been visiting the bird feeders for several weeks. Then, on 7th.June, the adult male proudly appears with its new arrival. For two days we watched as the adult fed its young. Two days later the young bird has learned to feed itself directly from the bird feeders. June 2024
